Proposals for Reducing State Spending
The Foundation for NC Future would like to see us change the focus of the debate from imposing a greater tax burden on the people of North Carolina, who presently support the highest corporate and personal tax rates of any state in the southeast, and among the highest in the nation, to a full commitment to identify cost savings and efficiencies, waste, duplication and fraud in government that would enable us to lower the cost of delivering the services to the people of our state. Let's look at the alternatives to raising taxes.
